ZzTop Tattooed amp: A collaboration with Death house studios
A huge part of Blackstar's marketing plan is to reach out to high profile artists and offer
them the best support when they're out on tour. After all, whats better than having a brand
presence on stages at festivals and TV productions in front of thousands of people.
To build relationships and develop a reputation as a great amp brand that supports its artists,
Blackstar always looks for new and innovative ways to stand out to high profile rock stars.
This special edition amp, created for Billy F Gibbons (Zztop) was covered in Jeffery West
leather and left in the capable hands of Aasen Stephensen at Death house studios.
Aasen, a talented artist took the covered amp and etched a beautifully intricate design into
the leather using a tattoo gun. Turning this amp into a unique, original piece of art that Billy
could be proud to have by his side when he's shredding it up!

Built to Gibbons' exact specifications,
the “Reverend 15” amplifier is covered
in hand-tattooed leather that was worked
on by Aason Stephenson of Death House
Studios for over 15 hours.
